The Heritage Days festival in Okawville, will be on Saturday, June 9th and Sunday, June 10th. The festival will include backyard bowling, turtle races, homemade food and live entertainment along with a farmer’s market and country store, which has hot and fresh home-made baked bread. The festival also will be having their 3rd annual Okawville Soda Festival, which features 16 varieties of old-fashioned glass bottle sodas. Some flavors featured this year are Excel Botting’s Apple Pie and Strawberry Lemonade, Fitz’s Root-Beer, Pumpkin spice and Coffee Cola, Stewarts Orange N’Cream, Caruso’s Dark Vanilla Cream and Maraschino Cherry, Druther’s black cow and much more. Soul and Shake will be performing on Saturday, June 9th from 11 to 4pm, with Sunday featuring Heart Strings at 1030 and The Venedy Band finishing from 1130 to 130pm. The Action Auction will be done on Sunday at around 2pm, featuring Dan Schuette as the auctioneer.
